Face coverings must be worn when attending a hospital site

In line with government guidance visitors and outpatients must wear a face covering or face mask when they attend University Hospital Southampton sites.

Visitors who attend and wear their own face covering should continue to wear these during their visit. Those visitors without their own face covering will be given a surgical mask to wear for the duration of their visit.

UHS has already begun rolling out these measures ahead of the guidance being implemented across the country from Monday, 15 June.

Visitors and outpatients will be provided with a surgical mask on entering the designated entrances at Southampton General Hospital and Princess Anne Hospital.

It is essential that face masks are worn correctly, not touched when on and changed when required.

PLEASE REMEMBER

Masks alone will not protect against COVID19.  It is important to maintain two metre social distancing measures and carry out regular hand hygiene.
