To help protect you, and those around you this winter, it is important to have your flu jab if you are eligible for one.
The free flu jab is offered to those at increased risk from the effects of flu. This includes:
- those aged over 65
- pregnant women
- people with long term conditions
- those living in a long-stay residential care home or another long-stay care facility
- children from age 2 - primary school age
- people who work in health and care services.
If you are eligible for the flu jab it is a really important way to help protect you from flu and any complications. Getting the flu jab also protects those around you who may be more vulnerable if they catch flu.
