Services in Southampton are working together to keep children and adults safe through a series of roadshows during Southampton Safeguarding Week, which takes place from 6 – 10 June 2016.
The events are an opportunity for residents to find out about how to notice risks or concerns and the steps they can take to help reduce the risks to their own families and others around them. Information packs and healthy snacks will also be given out at the locations across the city, backed up by tweets throughout the week carrying safety messages with the hashtag #sotonsafeweek.
The roadshows are being run by Southampton Local Safeguarding Boards and Southampton City Council, together with Hampshire Constabulary and Hampshire Fire and Rescue.
Come along and find out about important safety issues including:
- Turning off technology for safety
- Safer sleeping for babies
- What to do if you are worried about a child or an adult at risk of harm.
