People who use Hampshire’s NHS Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS) are being encouraged to take part in an online survey (survey will close February 17).
The survey is being run by NHS Fareham and Gosport Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) on behalf of the other CCGs across Hampshire.
It is available via this link https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Patient-Transport-Service
Gosport GP Dr David Chilvers, on behalf of the CCGs, said: “This £11m a year service provides considerable benefit to those people who are eligible to use it because of their medical condition.
“We need to ensure that it continues to operate well into the future, but want to understand if improvements can be made to ensure its effective and efficient use for the people who are eligible for it and who rely on it."
“We would strongly encourage all service-users or their carers to please complete the survey. It will only take a few minutes of their time.”
All patients are normally expected to make their way to hospital or outpatient clinics for their routine and non-emergency appointments.
The NEPTS service is provided for the minority of people registered with a GP practice who can’t travel to appointments independently on grounds of their medical condition only.
The survey will run until February 17.
