Wednesday is No Smoking Day

No Smoking Day, Wednesday 11 March, is the day when your quitting journey begins! No matter how long you've smoked for, no matter how many cigarettes you smoke a day, your health will start to improve as soon as you quit.

Quitting smoking can feel like a big challenge but you don’t have to do it alone. Here in Southampton there are several pharmacies offering free nicotine replacement therapies (NRT) and behavioural support.  This local service is free, friendly and can massively boost your chances of quitting for good.  You’re four times more likely to quit with support and NRT.  Visit one of these pharmacies and chat through your options, no need to be referred. They offer support in person or sometimes by phone.

The service is new and more pharmacies are being added regularly to the Southampton City Council website: https://www.southampton.gov.uk/health-social-care/health/stopping-smoking/
